Alberta Bitcoin Act – Industry Consultation led by Minister Dale Nally (Virtual Hosting, invitation‑only)

  • Virtual Calgary, AB, Canada (map)

This invitation‑only virtual consultation is being convened by the Canadian Bitcoin Consortium as the first formal industry consultation on the proposed Alberta Bitcoin Act, with Minister Dale Nally hosting the discussion.

It is designed to provide Alberta‑based companies an early and direct opportunity to engage on the policy objectives, legislative intent, and practical considerations associated with the Act, while signalling Alberta’s support for Bitcoin and the broader digital asset industry.

The session is structured to move beyond broad positioning and focus on substance, including frameworks that support responsible growth and long‑term certainty, what Alberta companies want reflected in the legislation and why, and how the initiative can strengthen economic competitiveness and credibility as a jurisdiction for digital asset activity. This initial consultation is limited to Alberta‑based companies, with a second consultation anticipated to engage the broader national industry.
