Koleya Karringten
Koleya Karringten is an influential ecosystem leader and public speaker based in Calgary, Alberta. As the Executive Director of the Canadian Bitcoin Consortium, she has emerged as one of Canada’s foremost voices in digital innovation and blockchain adoption. With more than two decades of leadership experience in emerging technology sectors, she is widely recognized as an authority on blockchain technology, regulatory collaboration, and ecosystem development.
In addition to her role at the Consortium, Koleya is the founder of Blockchain Insurance Inc., where she develops specialized insurance solutions tailored to the blockchain and digital asset industry, bridging innovation with compliance and risk management.
Since 2017, she has led the Consortium in becoming the country’s largest national blockchain association, uniting corporate, academic, and government stakeholders to drive the responsible growth of blockchain technology. Through policy summits, trade missions, and direct engagement with regulators, she has championed regulatory clarity, digital sovereignty, and Canada’s position in the global digital economy.
Her leadership extends to the federal level, where she serves on Finance Canada’s Anti–Money Laundering Committee and the Government of Canada’s Economic Policy Council. In recognition of her contributions, Koleya has received both the King Charles III Medal and the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal, underscoring her commitment to advancing innovation and public service in Canada.
